Mission and Programs

MOMS is the region’s largest nonprofit dedicated solely to infant and pregnancy health and well-being. MOMS surrounds expecting families with a community of support to promote a healthy pregnancy, deliver a healthy baby and build a strong family.

The Mission of MOMS is to help mothers and their families have healthy babies by providing health coordination, education and access to community services.

MOMS offers individualized and group health education, resources and support for:

  • Pregnancy
  • Postpartum
  • Breastfeeding groups & consultation
  • Screenings for risks to mother’s health
  • Maternal mental health and coping
  • Fathers programming
  • Mommy & Me; My Family & Me
  • Peer support for new parents
  • Screenings for infant growth & development
  • Health navigation
  • Resource & referral
  • Parenting
  • Diapers, baby clothes, infant care essentials

Specialized support is available for prenatal or postpartum anxiety/depression, intimate partner violence, breastfeeding and more.

Services are provided at no-cost in English, Spanish and Vietnamese by Maternal Child Health Workers, Health Educators, RN Case Managers and our certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist.

MOMS programs are designed for low-to-moderate income families experiencing social conditions including food and housing insecurity, barriers to health care access, and inequities that can lead to worse maternal-child health outcomes than the general population.

MOMS does not provide direct medical care but promotes health and access to health care.
